Like Father, Like Son

For those of you who don't know, John loves to fish and I think Jack will too very soon! I think John would rather fish than sleep or eat. This past Saturday, Jack and I went with him to the Pensacola Pier. We had a great time and the Spanish Mackrel were biting as you can see below. Here are some pics from the day. Up above Jack is blowing a kiss with my sunglasses on. Hollywood, here he comes! And the concentrated look is taken when he was looking at a fish that had just been caught. He can get very serious looks. I wonder if he gets that from his momma's side? :-)

Easter 2008

The family shot. We never got Jack to look at the camera.
My favorite shot!
Sitting still for a moment.
Climbing on the slide in my Sunday best.
Trying to push this thing. :-) I love his expression.

Hello All. It has been quite a while since we last wrote. Life is just busy, as I know everyone can relate. We had a good Easter weekend here in Daphne. I had friend snap some shots after church. We just recently joined our church here. It is called Eastern Shore Presbyterian and it is a good place to call our church home. We are thankful for it. Jack is doing pretty well. We just made it through another cold/fever virus. We have an appointment with an allergist on Monday. He has lots of trouble with coughing and a runny nose. I am hoping the visit will shed some light on his situation. Jack is a pure joy. Tonight he walked in the kitchen and just gave me a kiss. It makes all the days when he throws temper tamtrums worth it. He loves to make animal sounds and blow kisses. But most of all, he loves to play with trucks and trains.

Hope you enjoy the pics. We wish we could keep up with everyone more.

Where Have We Been?

John and Jack at the Fairhope Pier.
Some of John's most recent catch.

Here we are with Rachel, John's sister from DC. Her in-laws live in Mobile so we get to usually see them twice over the holidays. They stopped by our house for a visit. Logan just turned one this January.

It has been almost two months since I have entered a blog. The past few weeks have been quite busy. Many of you know, I have started working part-time since November. I nanny two to three times a week for two little boys, ages 21 months and 3 and have picked up a night a week at the Chic-Fil-A. When I nanny, I get to take Jack with me, which is a huge blessing. The family I work for is great and he enjoys playing with the boys. Jack and I have also has quite a month since Christmas fighting colds and stuff. He had RSV (a respiriatory virus) and was put in the hospital for a couple of days at the beginning of January. We have both had ear infections and colds. John has managed to stay well through all this. Jack is definitely on the upswing as am I.

We have taken many pictures and had great visits with both sides of the family; however, I have only downloaded a few. Jack got a great video camera for his birthday, but I haven't figured out how to download pictures yet.

Above are a few from December.

3 Little Christmas Monkeys

We spent Thanksgiving with my family in Statesboro and we attempted to get a shot of Jack and my two nephews, Carson and Austin, all in matching Christmas PJs. The first and shot is this year and the third shot was last.

Like I said we attempted. I tried to bribe them with chocolate chip cookies.

Happy Halloween!

In years to come, Jack will kill me for publishing this picture. I had just put on his brown tights for the costume.

Jack and Mama at the Fall Festival

Jack pushing an oversized basketball.

Jack is trying to understand the game where you throw the football through the hole.

Just a moment where Jack is looking around trying to take everything in.

This year for Halloween Jack was a puppy. I borrowed the outfit from a friend, and it was a perfect fit. He was one of the cutest puppies I have ever seen. John had to work late, so Jack and I took off for our church's fall festival. He loves going out and seeing people. He checked out everything and kept me busy chasing him. Now that he is walking, you may have noticed that I update the blog less and less. Hope you enjoy the pics. We had a fun time! Oh yeah, he can now say a something that sounds like dog. If he hears a dog barking, he says "dog" and points.

Boxes, Boxes, and More Boxes

Hey all! We are in the process of settling in our new home which is very exciting. I love having a laundry room. As I look around the house, I keep asking out loud, "Did we really fit all this stuff in our apartment?".

We have been really busy moving, unpacking, and chasing Jack who is now walking. He is saying "Uh Oh" at the right moments and sometimes not the right moments. He is giving kisses and I just love him more every day. John and I get so much joy and laughter from our little man.

I can't believe it has been a month since we last had an entry. And sad to say, I don't have many photos. Hopefully, in the next few weeks we will remedy that. My dear friend, Sandi, kept Jack on moving day, which was such a blessing. The pics above are of Jack at her house and playing with her 9 month old, Nathan.

Just a few more from the weekend.

Practicing walking with Pop. He took a couple of steps by himself this weekend.
Playing with the puzzle Aunt Rachel, Uncle Pepper, Annabelle and Logan sent Jack. Thank you! It is perfect with extra chunky pieces. Already an Auburn fan and ready for the big game. Too bad they lost! :(
Tickling Papa Perry.
Trying to get Grandma Sue's earring.
